Reflection from Momo
Psalm 18: 1&2 ‘I love thee oh Lord my strength. The lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust, my buckler, the and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.’
Truly the lord has been our strength and my provider, our deliverer, I will therefore praise Him. God is the
rock of our foundation in the Koinonia Trust. As we enter into a new year, we are trusting God to be our
fortress and a high tower. A shelter in the time of storm. We are grateful to God, that He has ushered us
in to another New Year. As a Liberian I am grateful to God for a smooth transition of a new leadership in the government of Liberia.
Reflection from Frances
Luke 17:32 ‘Remember Lot’s wife’
Of all the people that was in Jesus’ life He told us to remember Lot’s wife who when being rescued looked back. Subsequently she then turned into a pillar of salt. I have been mediating upon this verse for the last six months. It resonated with me. She lingered, she longed, she had her hopes and what she thought was her future there. Without warning she was taken out, rescued, she hesitated and saw what she was leaving. I have been guilty at times of lingering and longing pondering on the what ifs. How much time do we waste in doing this? Sometimes God asks us to open our hands and give Him back those dreams and hopes we hold dear and trust Him with our future whatever that will be. Lot’s wife got stuck because she was attached to the past and it outweighed her confidence in the future. God wants us to
embrace what is ahead in 2024 and take hold of His promises. This is a year of new beginnings.
